Update on our 25th Anniversary Seminar, March 13-15.
I have been in contact with Ikeda Sensei and we are still planning on holding the seminar celebration. If something changes I will update the status. Ikeda Sensei has requested that you bring a tanto for classes to help with close proximity training.
I understand many visitors are not or may not want to attend out of an abundance of caution. We must respect each other's decisions during this challenging time. However, if you are planning on attending we have a very rigorous protocol in place to protect us all.
The most important protection mechanism is that if you are sick, have recently been sick, have a family member who is sick or co-workers who are sick DO NOT come to the dojo. This applies even if you want to watch class or just stop in to say hi or attend the party on Saturday night.
Upon entering the dojo, DO NOT hug your friends but GO WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE FILLING OUT THE REGISTRATION FORM. Then USE HAND SANITIZER before handling anything in the dojo. This also applies before getting on the mat.
Please wear clean gi for every class if possible. Dojo members can help support this for the seminar.
We will also need help from dojo members to disinfect the common areas after every class. Please help be vigilant to keep everyone safe.
These are challenges times especially for the Kirkland area. We appreciate your understanding and consideration of our policies. We look forward to a successful event.
